·Initially assess, and where appropriate formally recognise, individual workers' pre-existing skills against the selected Units of Competency.
·Identify individual skills development needs; and,
·Deliver resulting identified training needs.
All assessment and training services provided by Start learning automotive will comply with the formal requirements for delivery of competencies and qualifications in accordance with the requirements outlined for RTO’s through the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).and Start learning automotive assessment and training services can primarily be delivered on the job, however, all formal assessment work must be undertaken by the RTO (Qualify Now PTY LTD) some identified and agreed training can be delivered by suitably experienced / qualified employees within your enterprise.
Start learning automotive PTY LTD’s fee will reflect the cost of training, and assessment delivery requirements and training materials.
Benefits to the employer?
Employers will benefit from having a qualified employee who has been assessed as competent to perform the required tasks. This translates into improved efficiency and productivity. Traineeships also help to maintain a stable workforce and often have an impact on employee morale. In addition, the wages paid to a trainee are payroll tax exempt (conditions apply).
When will you be paid the funding?
Three months after your trainee (staff member) is registered a claim form will be sent to you for completion. This claim form will require you to confirm details of the Traineeship including your bank account details and be signed by you and the trainee. The completed form is then sent by you to the relevant Australian Apprenticeship Centre for processing and lodgement of the initial $1,500.00 first incentive payment. Once the trainee has been assessed by the RTO as being competent to Level III, the Commonwealth Government will send you a Completion Certificate. This completed form will generate the final incentive payment of $2,500.00
What to do next?
If you want to enrol a new or existing employee(s) into a Traineeship contact Start learning automotive. We will provide details of the range of competencies (units) available within the various Certificate III qualification level.
Start learning automotive will also put you in contact with a government appointed Australian Apprenticeship Centre (AAC) in your area, whose role includes lodgement of the Traineeship Training Agreement (TTA). It is the AAC's formal responsibility to determine which employees are eligible to participate in
Traineeship programs.
Trainees, a business representative and the AAC official, visiting your premises will be required to sign the training request. The AAC will formally request Qualify Now PTY LTD, as the RTO of your choice, to visit your business to assist in the formulation of a training plan for each participating employee (this official training document is referred to as the Training Program Outline [TPO]).
The joint lodgement of the TTA and the TPO will enable the formal approval and document is referred to as the Training Program Outline [TPO]).
Once the lodgement of the TTA and the TPO is formally approved and acknowledged by the State Department of Training, then assessment and training process can commence. The timing and venue for the delivery of these services to your business will be negotiated between your organisation and Start learning automotive to best reflect your operational priorities.
Recognition for prior learning
(RPL)
In some instances some of your staff will have already completed some training: e.g. In Queensland all salespeople in the automotive industry are required to have a salespersons licence and to obtain this licence they are required to complete 7 modules of the certificate III in automotive sales course, so those 7 modules will be credited to that salesperson for recognition of prior learning. If a salesperson has been in the automotive industry for a length of time, say 2 years than this sales person can be credited for industry experience in some modules as recognition of prior learning.
